Fantastic Friday was an initiative developed by the City’s Department of Community & Economic Development (CED) to create a fun time in the City of Bluefield every Friday from late May until the end of September. It is located in the parking lot between Princeton Avenue and Raleigh Street in the Historic Downtown Depot District. It will host various events along with a Farmers’ Market, artisan and antique vendors. The Farmers’ Market, artisan and antique vendors will be the weekly anchor along with fun activities such as second run movies, cooking demonstrations, music and other fun events. The City is in the process of developing the calendar of events for each Friday which will be posted soon on our calendar of events and our Facebook Page. See https://www.facebook.com/BluefieldCED.
The Craft Memorial Library, located at 600 Commerce Street, is a partner with Fantastic Friday and hosts events each week. Check them out at https://www.facebook.com/craftlibrary. Craft Memorial Library is within walking distance of the market site.
If you are interested in being a vendor at the event, please contact Jim Spencer at firstname.lastname@example.org or (304)327-2401 ext. 2405. All vendors MUST pre-register prior to 1 pm the day of the event. If they do not, they will not be allowed to participate.
Please come and join us to make Fantastic Friday and the City of Bluefield the place to be on Friday evenings. Follow the City’s Community & Economic Development Department on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/BluefieldCED/.
