The City of Bluefield Parks and Recreation Department is excited to serve your leisure needs and interests through our development of recreation programs and facilities.

Our MISSION is that we are dedicated to providing quality services and facilities through public awareness, utilizations of resources, and bring responsive to our community and citizens. The Bluefield Parks & Recreation Department strives to provide our residents with passive and active recreation programs, parks and facilities that enrich the lives of all of our residents and promotes opportunities for healthy lifestyles.

Our GOAL is to promote opportunities for all residents to pursue safe and enjoyable leisure activities in balance with the protection and conservation of Bluefield’s natural resources. We are committed to working cooperatively in the development of our programs and amenities to identify and meet the needs of our citizens. I encourage you to become an active participant in the Department’s programs and activities, as a participant, coach, instructor, spectator, park user or volunteer.

Park Watch Program

This program is designed to insure the preservation and safety of our City Parks by soliciting help from citizens to watch the parks in their neighborhoods. To report an emergency, please call 911. To report a non-emergency, call 304.327.2448 during the hours of 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. After 4:30 p.m. and on weekends, please call the City of Bluefield Police Department at 304.327.6101.
