The Power of a Dollar
So how powerful is a dollar? On average, for every dollar you spend at a small business, sixty-seven cents stays in the local community. Forty-four cents goes to the small business owner and employees, and twenty-three cents gets re-invested in other local businesses.
Entrepreneur 2 Entrepreneur (E2E) 2019
Since 2016, as part of the CREATE Opportunity Initiative and in conjunction with National Entrepreneurship Week in February, the City of Bluefield’s Community and Economic Development Department (CED) hosted the successful “Meet the Millennials”.
The event was created as a networking opportunity and to pass on lessons learned by existing successful business owners to the next generation of entrepreneurs. The CED re-branded “Meet the Millennials” to “Entrepreneur to Entrepreneur” or “E2E”.
Monogram Magic
"My husband and I bought Monogram Magic in the summer of 2007. The previous owner started the business in 1996. This little embroidery shop has been in business for over 20 years and has provided the community with a quality place to have their embroidery done. We pride ourselves in our quality work, friendly service, and quick turnaround.
We provide our services to area businesses, clubs, schools, colleges, churches, and individuals. We also have an Etsy store where our products ship throughout the United States and overseas.
We enjoy creating personalized gifts that are treasured keepsakes for anniversaries, weddings, baby showers, graduations, birthdays, and all other special occasions. Why settle for a general gift when you can give a thoughtful and unique gift that can be treasured for years? Also, within the past seven years, we ventured out into making patches as well. We are sci-fi fans and attend several comic, sci-fi, fantasy cons throughout the year. We love getting our geek on."
The Bluefield Inn
