The Small Business Success Center (SBSC) serves as an entrepreneurial hub to help cultivate entrepreneurship, start new businesses, and support existing businesses.
The SBSC is operated by the Bluefield WV Economic Development Authority (BEDA) with assistance from the CREATE Opportunity Partners. Since 2016, BEDA has hosted multiple classes and information sessions in which a CREATE Opportunity partner provides information and support on different topics. Our training programs/classes are tailored to provide support for the needs of our business owners and entrepreneurs as captured through our annual Small Business Survey.

In June 2020, BEDA announced a partnership with the My Own Business Institute (MOBI) at Santa Clara University. MOBI is the world’s leading provider of free online education for entrepreneurs. Through this partnership, BEDA fulfilled the long-term goal of an Entrepreneur’s Bootcamp & Business Expansion Curriculum and is able to do so virtually. These online modules are self-paced, fast-tracked, and 100% free for anyone. Established business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs are welcome to inquire.
